What our Customers Say

A last minute suggestion of ‘going out for supper’ had us (and the dog!) scurrying to The Ferry. Table in the bar by the fireplace, two large g&t’s and all was well with the world.

Great pub. Are here twice in one week. Lovely food. Friendly staff. great choice of food. Huge range of flavoured gins and some good beers. The weather was great so sat in the garden at the front of the pub for a couple of hours. So peaceful.

Best meal of the year so far! We visited on a Sunday and were found a table for lunch even though it was busy and we hadn’t booked. Good atmosphere – friendly, calm and no piped music (my pet hate). The Ferry Burger was the tastiest meal I’ve eaten out in a while – definitely worth granting a temporary suspension of vegetarian eating.

Charles B

We’re quite used to a surly barman ‘welcoming’ us for a pre – booked meal, so we were taken aback at the warmth and helpfulness we received.

Reece Bigwood

Best bit of steak in ages, amazing food. great views of the country side. With birds singing and gentle river flowing. Perfect.

Paul Clarke

Wife and myself both had fish and chips today – absolutely fantastic, staff very helpful. Definitely will be coming back.

Samuel Rickard

Great food, ale always fresh and delicious, friendly atmosphere. Great spot to watch the sun go down over the marsh, whenever i pass this place it is very difficult to resist popping in and there is a lovely walk to here from Small Hythe.

L – D Dand

The location and especially the back garden is out of this world overlooking fields with sheep. Lovely beer and food, kids were able to play together whilst we relaxed eating and drinking in the sun!
